November 2024
American Roads is pleased to announce the appointment of Regine Beauboeuf, PE to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Beauboeuf succeeds Neal Belitsky, who is retiring after nearly 27-years of dedicated service and leadership.
Ms. Beauboeuf joins American Roads following a 39-year career where she has specialized in the management of large, complex transportation infrastructure projects. Over the course of her career, Ms. Beauboeuf has been involved in significant infrastructure projects including the Gordie Howe International Bridge, the A-25 Public Private Partnership, and the I-375 Reconnecting Communities project in Detroit.
Most recently, Ms. Beauboeuf was a Senior Vice President and Director of Infrastructure Mobility Equity at HNTB Corporation, an employee-owned infrastructure solutions firm. Prior to joining the private sector, Ms. Beauboeuf was the supervising engineer for the Project Development Section of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). In addition to her professional roles, Ms. Beauboeuf has held, or continues to hold, a number of leadership positions in local community organizations in Detroit and Michigan more broadly.
"American Roads has a long history serving communities in Alabama, Michigan and Ontario. I am excited to join the company as it approaches a new phase of growth and development," said Ms. Beauboeuf.
G. Mack Roberts will continue in his role as Vice President, Engineering and Development, supervising the company’s operations in Alabama. Mr. Roberts, who previously served as the Director of the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) under three separate Governors, has been with American Roads since 2007. Mr. Roberts will work directly with Ms. Beauboeuf to align operations and execute the company's goals and objectives.
American Roads thanks Mr. Belitsky for his leadership of the business over the past two-and-a-half decades, which have seen the company host over 344 million vehicles while maintaining a stellar health and safety record. Mr. Belitsky navigated the company through a number of challenges, including the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, the BP Oil Spill in 2010, and the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020.
Under Mr. Belitsky’s leadership American Roads achieved a number of major successes, including the launch of American Roads Technologies and the completion of major capital improvements at the Detroit Windsor Tunnel.
